Setup · Meet your AI

Meet your AI before routing calls.

Text your agent first. Ask about pricing, availability, or send a photo — then set up call forwarding once it feels right.

Meet your AI

We’re activating your AI phone line. Carriers can take 30–60 seconds to route the first texts — I’ll show the text button as soon as it’s ready.

Giving your assistant its own number…

Set up call forwarding

When a customer calls and you don't answer, the call rolls to your AI. Takes ~3 minutes.

Substep 1 of 6 · Pick your phone

iPhone

Android

Two iPhone settings can silently block call forwarding. Turn both OFF before you dial the code.

1. Settings → Phone → Live Voicemail → turn OFF

2. Settings → Phone → Silence Unknown Callers → turn OFF

Open Phone settings Live Voicemail is turned off Silence Unknown Callers is turned off

Pick your phone carrier so we can give you the exact code.

Did you hear a confirmation tone?

You should have heard a short beep or "Forwarding activated." If you did, you're set. If not, hang up and try the code again.

No — let me try the code again

Call your regular business number from a different phone. Don't call the AdaptLocal number directly — that only proves the AI number works, not forwarding.

Waiting for the forwarded call...

Call your regular business number from a different phone and let it ring without answering.

Call forwarding works.

Your next missed caller gets an instant text.

We didn't detect a call. A few options:

Alternative: Add your AdaptLocal number directly to your Google Business Profile, Yelp listing, and website. Customers who find you there reach your AI without call forwarding.

I'll do this later

Call forwarding is verified.

Your missed calls now roll to your AI automatically. Cancel anytime by dialing *73.

You also hired an assistant

Text your AI number anytime, like:
“Any hot leads this week?”
“Bump duct cleaning to $450”
“Remind me to call Mike at 9”

You'll see calls and texts on your dashboard as soon as your AI handles them. Until then, kick back.
